This position will conduct research and extension projects in orchard systems to increase the viability and productivity of the programs of North Sacramento Valley Cooperative Extension advisors. The successful candidate will increase cooperative research and educational efforts with university and industry affiliates, governmental agencies, and other local collaborators. They will work with the UC Advisor in grant writing, data collection, data analysis, as well as report and article writing. This position will coordinate and participate in outreach extension efforts including workshops, trainings, and the development of educational materials. The position may entail a supervisory role over other research technicians and student assistants.
This position will promote, in all ways consistent with other responsibilities of the position, the affirmative action goals established by the Division.

This position is a career appointment that is 100% fixed.
Pay Scale: $64,502.35/year to $83,409.17/year.
